There is a lot of gloom and doom in the world (Syria, the Drought, the economy, the latest shootings etc.) It’s easy to miss the moments and discoveries that are truly historic.
For example, we live in an amazing age of discovery. Here are three to contemplate.
The Mars Rover-Curiosity: Really? We put the equivalent of a car on Mars and are now cruising the surface? AMAZING! Way to go engineers!! So go find out what God has done on Mars. It’ll help us appreciate the magnificence of our own planet.
The Higgs-Boson Particle: You mean to tell me there is a a table of elements at the particle level we never knew about? Dark matter is real! Wow!!! When God created who knew? Particle accelerators are the Gothic cathedrals of our time discovering the truth of Romans that God calls into being the things that are not.
Brain Science: No one can keep up with the discoveries; the nature of consciousness, new treatments for all kinds of mental illnesses, and the complexity of the human brain. The Psalmist nailed it when he said that we are made “with glory and honor”.
At Vibrant Faith Ministries our mission statement reads: “We are a catalyst for Christian congregations, communities and households striving to practice vibrant faith in a dynamic world.” We are excited by the dynamism taking place around us and doing our work in this context. For example, our new VibrantFaith@Home APP works on all smart applications. It’s the way to engage God, others, and live faithfully while living in dynamic change.
